Early Easter

Over Conference weekend we had a mini Easter celebration. I had already bought baskets and eggs before thinking through that we would be in SLC for the holiday. And then it was decided that we should try to teach the girls the beauty of a good, competitive egg hunt before they are up against their cousins (and probably aunts and uncles) in Salt Lake.

Let's just say if we have to pick a competitor, it will be Miss Rose. Out of the 18 eggs we threw about in the backyard, she collected 14. Evie was practically forced to pick up the other four, sat and ate the fruit loops out of them and kept abandoning the whole thing to bult for the sandbox. Rosie always has been our little collector.
The girls also enjoyed a little egg dying.

A couple weeks ago my sister in-laws friend was doing mini photo shoots for a ridiculously low rate. We jumped on it. I'm thinking we would have had much better luck had there not been gale force winds blowing us to pieces the entire time. The girls wouldn't cooperate or smile and their hair was driving me nuts in all the blustering... but we'll take what we can get. Still managed to get a few sweet shots.
Happiest happy hour having sushi with mom and dad.

  2. love the girls getting ready to dye eggs in their bare-minimum clothes (very smart as that stuff stains!)--will they actually eat sushi? if so, that is truly amazing!

  4. You are such a great mom, we haven't even attempted to dye Easter eggs yet and Connor is three. Someday. I love your photos. They are some of the best family photos I have ever seen.
