Pulled out my camera today to take some pics of my favorite three. It never goes smoothly and no one really cooperates or will look at the camera or sit still (except Gwena)...but I always love the results and the little glimpses into their darling and different personalities.
Rosemary Nell: Sweet. Sensitive. Independent. Concerned. Aims to please. Helper. Tender hearted. Sneaky. Tells great jokes.
Evelyn Irene: Passionate. Imaginative. Stubborn. Assertive. Chatterbox. Cuddly. Possessive. Playful. Kind.
These two are the very best of friends and play and terrorize each other from sun up to sun down. I love overhearing them in the midst of an elaborate game of doctor, princesses, cowgirls, or kitties. They love preschool, playing with their friends and cousins, going to Grandmas, going to the gym, to Primary, and have just started a little ballet class that is unbearably cute. They have improved so much with their counting and letters. They are learning their sounds. They love to play hide and seek, tag, play in the tub, go to McDonald's, and have family home evening. They love collecting coins and other treasures and picking plants and flowers in the backyard. They love creating art projects and having dance parties. They are learning how to make (and break)promises and the rewards and consequences of good and bad choices. They are both adorable with their baby sister and think the world of their daddy.
Of course by the time I tried to photograph all three girls, Gwena was too sleepy to put up with much. I really need to work on getting pics of them all together.
Gwena Florence: This little love melts my heart every single day with her downy, duck hair and perfect smiles. About a week ago, and she just barely 3 months old, she rolled over back to front for the first time at church in sacrament meeting. We were pretty surprised and she's been rolling every since. She is so strong. Unfortunately she hasn't been sleeping quite as well as she used to...in fact we are suddenly having much rougher nights with this tiny hedgehog than we have since she was born. She's requiring lots of feedings, lots of binky adjustments and is determined to get out of her swaddle to study and eat those perfect little hands she is so mesmerized with. But all the same we are crazy about her. She loves to be upright and she LOOOOOVES her swing. We are trying to determine the best nap schedule for her in hopes it will improve her nights.
I had the best Valentines with these sweethearts and Ben and felt so happy and loved all day. The girls loved making Valentines and treats for their teachers, friends, family, and neighbors. I was spoiled with flowers and chocolate and an antennae for the tiny kitchen TV so I can watch the Today Show once in awhile, I had my nails done while my mom so kindy babysat, and a fun downtown dinner with my sweet family. Perfection.
